What is fuse 22 on Aston Martin V8 Vantage, DB9 and DBS

Fuse 22 supplies the power to the vacuum solenoid to keep the exhaust bypass valves open, so that the exhaust tone is kept constant from 1500 revs to 3000 revs.

Commonly, the only way to have the exhaust valves open all the time to allow the proper engine note, is to remove this fuse or to disconnect the vacuum pipes and seal them.  Not an ideal situation on the occasions when you need to run more silently!
